The Simpsons return for two more series, taking the sample to a 25-year history. Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria and Harry Shearer is ready to return.

The battle between Fox and his voice actors has been a regular event since 1998, but this year has been more bitter and public than ever. Fox even went so far as issuing a public statement saying that the economic model of the Simpson was no longer viable and that costs needed to be reduced. Reports indicated that the writers and producers are also reduced wages. Shearer apparently offered to take a 70 percent cut in exchange for a share of profits in the background, something that Fox refused.

However, the cast is believed to have taken a sharp cut in wages by about 30 percent according to The Hollywood Reporter, taking the $ 440,000 (£ 281,000) per episode, making up to $ 300,000 (£ 192,000).
As it stands, The Simpsons returns to U.S. TV screens on October 30 with the new tree house of horror episode XXII.
